The Birmingham 2022 Queen's Baton Relay

The Commonwealth Games will be coming to Birmingham in July 2022, with the Cycling Road Race taking place in Warwick and the Bowls and Para-Bowls taking place in Leamington.
As part of the build-up to this exciting event, the Queen's Baton Relay (QBR) is currently touring all the countries in the Commonwealth.
These printable educational resources have been developed to bring the celebration of the Queen’s Baton Relay into schools. There are three different resource packs aimed at Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, which provide learning opportunities to be explored in the classroom and extend to home learning.

These resources will develop children’s understanding of the Queen’s Baton Relay, focus on the messages of solidarity, hope and community and improve understanding of the Commonwealth through cross-curricular activities. The activities will also develop transferable skills in communication, confidence building, presentation, research and more.
