Working Together Charter for Warwickshire SEND

The working together charter has been developed through collaboration between Warwickshire County Council, Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board, Warwickshire Parent Career voice and IMPACT (the young people’s forum for SEND in Warwickshire).

The aim of the charter is to set out a commitment to ensuring the voices of families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are heard in the development and delivery of SEND services. It is hoped that the Working Together Charter will guide the local area work to provide services that meet the needs of children and young people with SEND, their families, and the wider community. It will also help to create a culture of effective participation, where the voices of children and young people with SEND are heard and valued.

As Early Years setting, we can look at the Charter and ask ourselves the following questions:

  • What do you do every day to include families not only in the life of their child but the work you do?
  • How do you include children?
  • How do you know it works?
