HEADS UP

Request to help accommodate autism assessment meetings

In order to increase the number of Autism assessments that can be carried out, our colleagues in Health would like to ask schools for their help in providing suitable accommodation for assessment meetings to take place.

They are looking for the following:

  • They would need two rooms, one for the child/young person and practitioner, and one room for parents/carers and practitioner; it would probably be just a practitioner, the child being assessed and possibly a parent(s); they may then come together so a room for 4/5 people.
  • All day bookings as they are aiming to carry out lots of assessments one after the other.
  • Room(s) availability every other week, as appointments are fortnightly.
  • Room(s) do not need to be a clinical room or have any particular facilities.

If you are able to offer your site to support this, or would like to discuss this further, please email matthewbown@warwickshire.gov.uk who will pass your details on to health colleagues to follow up with you.

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to provide.
