Dear Colleagues,

I had the pleasure of visiting a SWEP meeting with secondary heads this week to talk abut how the LA wants to engage with secondary schools and a bit more about our proposal for a new Fair Access Protocol. The dedication and commitment of school leaders to all Warwickshire children was very clear and it is nice to see such strong foundations to work with. I am looking forward ot out continuing partnership work together.

In other positive news, we had the interviews for the new Head of SEND and Inclusion, which was a robust process. The panels included parent voice, young people and a panel made up entirely of local heads. I am pleased to announce that Ross Caws was the successful candidate. I know many of you already know Ross and I am delighted he is taking up this role and look forward to moving this area forward with school leader and Ross at the helm.
