Dear Headteachers,
This week was very productive in terms of engaging with head teachers across the county. There was an Education Challenge Board meeting, kindly hosted by Diane Compton-Belcher in Nuneaton at Michael Drayton Junior School. We had a good discussion about communication with schools and how we could improve this across the county.
We have agreed that we will rename the Education Challenge Board - to be known as the Warwickshire Education Partnership Board (WEPB) which will meet monthly, with a revised membership to include more schools. I will write to all heads about this in due course.
I hope this new board will make a significant difference to the flow of information and utilise school leaders in a more strategic way so that we can work together on common themes across the county. The board will also be widened to include issues around children’s social care so as to have a more holistic approach.
