Dear colleagues,

Like all schools we have received the national DfE guidance on forthcoming potential strike action. As per the guidance, in the event of strike action taking place, the expectation set out is that each individual school will take all reasonable steps to remain open for as many pupils as possible. The decision to open, restrict attendance or close a school is for the headteacher or academy trust to make and good practice would involve governors.

Colleagues from School Improvement and HR are working together to provide a joint accompanying document to the below DFE guidance. It will include operational guidance to consider and the policies and procedures that need to be in place. This will come out to school on Monday and will be followed up in the Head’s briefing on Tuesday. This will also include questions raised from the previous briefing.
