Teaching staff invited to webinar exploring new SEND Inclusion Guidance

School staff are invited to attend a webinar that will explore ways to use the new Warwickshire SEND Inclusion Guidance. This webinar will take place on Wednesday 3rd November and a recording will be available at a later date. The content will be applicable to all teaching staff and particularly SENCOs, senior leaders and newly qualified staff.

The SEND Inclusion Guidance was launched at the end of September and aims to provide comprehensive, accessible information for practitioners about the provision and support that is expected to be made available in all mainstream schools and settings supporting Warwickshire young people aged 5-16 years who have Special Educational Needs and /or Disabilities.

The guidance is structured into the four broad areas of need as outlined in the government’s SEND Code of Practice to support schools to plan provision for learners. The four areas are Cognition and Learning, Social Emotional and Mental Health, Communication and Interaction and Physical and Sensory.
