Launch of the Warwickshire Primary Partnership

The Warwickshire Primary Partnership (WPP) is a coming together of key organisations from across the county to support professional development and school improvement across the family of primary schools in Warwickshire. The partnership includes: Hillmorton Teaching School Alliance, St John’s Teaching School Alliance, Gateway Alliance and Warwickshire County Council.

Warwickshire Primary Partnership aims to:

  • work collaboratively to support Warwickshire’s strategic aim (WE3) “Supporting successful system leadership, empowering education communities, so that Warwickshire’s Family of Schools can thrive, there are sufficient good/outstanding school places, and outcomes for Warwickshire’s children exceed national levels."
  • offer a range of both statutory and non-statutory professional development and school improvement support to the Warwickshire family of primary schools;
  • ensure consistency and equality of access to key areas of support across the county;
  • quality assure provision to ensure it has the greatest impact on all schools.

Support on offer from newly designated St. John's Teaching School Alliance

The newly designated St. John's Teaching School Alliance in Kenilworth have been busy getting ready for their first round of outward facing work, which has included:

  • Launch of the Warwickshire Primary Partnership - an event was held on 14th November to showcase how the Partnership will work together to drive school improvement by recruiting Local Leaders and Specialist Leaders of Education (LLEs and SLEs) to be deployed across Warwickshire. The second round of this initiative will commence in January 2019. You can read more about the Warwickshire Primary Partnership in this issue. 
  • Launch of a Middle Leadership programme in association with the Gateway Alliance. See attached flyer for details. 
  • Support for a number of schools in different capacities. 
  • Hosting of Warwick University Initial Teacher Training (ITT) students and registering with the School Direct scheme in partnership with the Gateway Alliance.
  • Hosting a number of CPD opportunities in their newly created Learning Hub - enquiries are welcome from any schools interested in using this facility.
