SEND & Inclusion Change Programme – New Processes for Panels and Alternative Provision

As part of the SEND and Inclusion Change Programme in Warwickshire County Council, we aim to provide every child with access to high quality education so they can achieve their full potential. We want to work together to improve outcomes for our children and young people with SEND by promoting inclusion in mainstream settings, giving schools the skills and resources to meet the needs of learners and building the confidence of parents and carers.   

We would like to invite partners to events to hear about new processes in the following areas: 

  • Alternative Provision: to allow an efficient and effective operating model and ensure statutory compliance.Led by Marie Rooney, Strategic Lead for Alternative Provision 
  • Needs-Focussed Panel Processes: to ensure clear, fair, and transparent decision-making processes in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice and clear guidance to educational settings on their accountabilities and responsibilities.Led by Matt GreenhalghStrategic Lead for Children With Disabilities.  

Live Broadcasts are planned via Microsoft Teams on Monday 29th March at 2-3pmand Wednesday 31st March at 3.30-4.30pmInvitations will be sent to SENCos and Behavioural Leads, but if anyone else is interested in attending please email sendchange@warwickshire.gov.uk and an invitation with a link to the broadcast will be sent. 

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the event via the live chat box.
