Thank a Teacher Day
A couple of weeks ago we saw lots of messages across social media thanking teachers and support staff in Warwickshire schools as part of Thank a Teacher Day 2020. Here are just a couple that we spotted:
Reach for the stars!
A bit of fun from the team at St Nicholas CE Primary School in Kenilworth, who put together this video message to pupils:
Helping the transition for September 2020 starters
For those starting primary or secondary school in September, it is likely to be a challenging time as they may not be able to attend transition days as usual. Studley High has made this video for their Autumn 2020 starters to give them a glimpse into life as a Studley High student, or as they like to say 'to see what life at #TeamStudley will be like!' What a great idea!
Mental Health and Wellbeing Support for Headteachers
Warwickshire Local Authority is determined to support headteachers through these unprecedented times when many will be experiencing a level of personal and professional stress that has never been seen before.
A resources bank has been developed exclusively for Headteachers to draw from to support their own mental health and wellbeing, in addition to the provision of a free 'listening ear' service provided by experienced school professionals.
There is summary poster with at a glance contact details to print off for your wall and an interactive document with links to useful sources of support to keep on your desktop. We have shared this resource with Chairs of Governors so that they are aware of the support you can access if you feel you need to.
