Celebrate World Autism Acceptance Week: 28th March to 3rd April
From awareness to acceptance: why the change of name?
Based on feedback the name has changed to World Autism Acceptance Week from World Autism Awareness Week. The language of “awareness” came out of an era when not everyone had heard of autism, which is no longer the case.
Schools in Warwickshire can access updated Autism Education Trust Training. There is a new “Making Sense of Autism” module (free to all schools), a Good Autism Practice Module, an Exclusions module and an Anxiety module. The Progression Framework, Standards and Competency Framework are still free to download from the AET website.
