Classroom teachers encouraged to join SEND Inclusion Guidance focus groups
The SEND Inclusion Guidance focus groups are starting in early July and educational professionals from across Warwickshire are signing up to participate in the discussions.
The focus groups are as follows:
- 1st July 3.30pm - 4.30pm
- 13th July 3.30pm - 4.30pm
- 15th July 9.15am - 10.15am
The SEND Inclusion Guidance will be launched in September and is being developed in consultation with practitioners and parents, and promotes Warwickshire’s inclusive, needs-led ethos in supporting young people with SEND in mainstream schools. Its purpose is to help schools to implement effective extra support for young people who are not progressing at the expected rate, at the Graduated Response level, and the project is part of the council’s SEND and Inclusion Change Programme.
Produced as a web-based document, the Guidance is designed to enable relevant information to be found quickly and accessibly. The focus groups will explore the Guidance, and most importantly, gain your feedback and views. The groups are open to educational professionals and class and subject teachers in particular are encouraged to contribute.
