Working together to improve school attendance

Analysing absence and attendance data webinar

We recommend that you sign up to the new DfE ‘analysing attendance data to identify pupils who need additional support’ webinar, which will take place on 3rd November 2022.

It is the latest in the DfE’s effective practice attendance webinars where schools with good or improved attendance share their practice.

School Attendance Champion

As part of the changes with the ‘working together to improve school attendance’ guidance, all schools are expected to have a dedicated senior leader with overall responsibility for championing and improving attendance.

The attendance champion should have clearly assigned responsibilities which are identified within the attendance policy and escalation procedures.  The role is similar to the attendance lead that all schools in Warwickshire schools have.

Reminders
