Personal, social and emotional development (PSED) resources

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families has published new resources to help practitioners in early years settings to support the personal, social and emotional development (PSED) of young children.

These free resources have been created following the 2021 reforms to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to support practitioners to understand the emotions of young children, how to regulate them and how to learn more about peer relationships.

Resources include: a handbook on the emotional development of 2-,3- and 4-year-olds; a leaflet on talking with families about PSED concerns; and a leaflet on top tips for repairing disputes with 2- to 4- year-olds.
